FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Hockey Wraparound Celebrates Milestone Patent Approval After A Decade Of Innovation

[Philadelphia, PA] — Hockey Wraparound, the industry leader in hockey stick blade protection, is thrilled to announce the issuance of its new patent, for their flagship product, the Hockey Wraparound Blade Protector. This marks a significant milestone in the company’s 10-year journey of innovation and quality craftsmanship. The newly patented technology will further secure Hockey Wraparound’s position as a trailblazer in the hockey equipment market, ensuring that its unique products remain unchallenged by imitations.

The company was founded by Lee Elias and Matt Eastman over ten years ago in England while their wives served honorably in the United States Air Force. Since then, Hockey Wraparound has been at the forefront of developing training tools that are both accessible and affordable for the hockey community. This latest patent solidifies the company’s commitment to innovation, which has been a cornerstone of its operation since its inception.

"This patent is the culmination of a 10-year journey and is such a wonderful win for the entire Wraparound team," said Lee MJ Elias, CEO and Co-Founder of Hockey Wraparound. "From day one, we have prided ourselves on building trust and creating high-quality products that make the game more accessible and affordable. This patent affords us the right to continue to grow and innovate within the game of hockey, which is something we are passionate about. Above all, we could not have gotten to this point without the belief and trust of our fans and followers - we share this victory with all of you!”

Matt Eastman, Wraparound Co-Founder, continued, “I could not be more proud of our Wraparound team and the tenacity they have show for the last 10 years. Obtaining this patent has been a long road but all of that hard work and patience has finally paid off. We thank every single person that has supported us along this road and know we could not have done it without you. Wraparound is known for innovation and there will always be more ideas that we bring to the market to help hockey players consistently get better at their craft.”

The patent, which will last for 15 years, covers the unique design and function of Hockey Wraparound’s flagship product, the original Hockey Wraparound. Additionally, the company offers the Weighted Wraparound. Off-Ice Kit, which includes a Hockey Wraparound, an off-ice puck, and a roll of tape, all designed to enhance the training experience away from the rink.

This is Wraparound’s second patent as the Drystick was patented in 2022.

Hockey Wraparound is also known for its contribution to children’s literature with the Top-10 hockey children's book, "When Hockey Stops," written by founder Lee Elias and Christie Casciano Burns, a celebrated USA Hockey Mom and WSYR news anchor in Syracuse, NY.

As Hockey Wraparound continues to lead and innovate, the company remains committed to its community of players, coaches, and families, ensuring that the spirit of the game grows stronger with each passing season.
