From Our Founder: A New Hockey Voice You’ll Want to Hear

From day one, we've always looked to innovate - it's in our DNA.

We started with the original Wraparound Blade Protector—the first of its kind—and created an entirely new category in the game: blade protection. More recently, we launched the Puckaround Pro Training Puck, breaking the belief that you couldn’t create a puck that genuinely feels like the real thing off the ice, and one you can actually shoot.

But today, our newest innovation isn’t a product. It’s a conversation.

Over the years, we’ve built a big hockey family of players, parents, coaches, and fans from all over the world. And while we’ve always enjoyed connecting through social media, we’ll admit it: we’ve never quite found the right email voice to speak to all of you.

Like most of you, we can’t stand spammy inboxes. That’s why, until now, we’ve mostly kept our emails to quick sales and holiday deals. But you deserve better than that. Starting now, the emails you receive from us will feel different.

We believe in the power of storytelling, the grit of the hockey community, and the life lessons the game teaches—on and off the ice.

That’s why I’m excited to introduce you to someone special: Bobby Robins, former NHL player, pro coach, and now, the voice behind our new email series:

A Savage Shift: Real Stories. Honest Lessons. Mindset Fuel—from the driveway to the NHL.

Each Monday, Bobby will send you a story about hockey, life, leadership, and what it takes to grow in the game. Whether you’re a player chasing your next level, a parent guiding your child’s journey, or just someone who loves the game, these stories are for you.

Even better, we want you to be a part of it. Reply to any email with a question: training, mindset, recruiting, anything. Bobby will choose one each week to answer in the column.

In addition to Bobby’s column, we’re teaming up each week to bring you a training tip to sharpen your off-ice skills, a mindset or lifestyle insight to fuel your mental game, and—when it matters—product updates or offers we believe are truly worth your time.
