It’s Friday. Game time. Let’s make it count. | A Savage Mindset

The weekend is here. The lights are on. It’s time to play.
LET'S GOOOO!!

It’s Friday. TGIF.
School’s out. The work week is done.
And that means one thing. It’s hockey time.

You’ve put in the work all week.
You trained hard. You showed up to practice. You listened, learned, and got better.
Now it’s time to step into the spotlight and prove it.

Here’s something to think about.
An average hockey season lasts around 30 weekends.

That’s 30 weekends to show who you are.
30 weekends to compete, to battle, to grow.
30 weekends to create memories you’ll talk about for the rest of your life.

When you break it down like that, it doesn’t sound like much, does it?
That’s why every single weekend matters.

Because before you know it, Monday will come.
You’ll be thinking back on the games that just passed, remembering how you played lights out or wishing you could have one more shift to make something right.

So this weekend, no matter who you are, player, parent, or coach, take a moment to soak it all in.

If you’re a player, this is your proving ground.
These are the moments that make up your story.
Every shift, every battle, every backcheck, every shot, this is what you train for.
When you hit the ice, remember that no matter where you’re playing, whether it’s in front of thousands of fans or just your mom, dad, and little brother, the ice is the same, the net is the same, and the puck is the same.

The stage doesn’t make the player.
The heart does.

If you’re a parent, cherish these weekends.
The road trips, the coffee at dawn, the frozen bleachers, the postgame talks in the car, these are the moments your kids will remember forever.
Don’t blink. Because someday, those skates will hang up, and these weekends will just be stories.

If you’re a coach, this is your chance to lead.
To teach.
To inspire.
You never know what your words might spark in a young player.
Your encouragement might just be the voice that keeps their dream alive.

Wherever you are this weekend, on the ice, on the bench, or in the stands, remember this:
Every weekend is a gift.
Every game is a chance.
Every moment is precious.

So when the puck drops, bring everything you’ve got.
Play fearless. Play free. Play with gratitude.

Because these 30 weekends will come and go faster than you think.
Make them count.

This weekend, strive for glory.
Battle for your brothers and sisters.
Love every second.

Because someday, you’ll look back and realize these weren’t just games.
These were the days.

Now lace them up.
Go chase something unforgettable.
