Your First Goal

Your First Goal

Remembering the magic of your first shift — and passing it on to the next generation.
We all have a hockey origin story.

Maybe it was the first time our skates hit the ice, shaky and unsure, as we gripped the boards for balance.
Maybe it was the first time we pushed that black rubber puck ahead of us, felt the glide, took the shot… and somehow, it went in.

For some of us, that was the exact moment we fell in love with the game — a lightning strike.
For others, it crept in slowly — a little more each practice, each goal, each laugh with teammates in the locker room.

No matter how it happened, we all remember that feeling.
The sound of the blades on the ice.
The cold air hitting your face.
The echo of the puck against the boards.
It was more than just a sport — it was the beginning of something that would shape who we are.

That’s why we love what our founder at Wraparound, Lee Elias, has done with Twig and Biscuit.

They’re not just two cartoon rink rats — they’re mentors in the making.
They help young players fall in love with hockey the same way we did — by making it fun, exciting, and full of little lessons that stick.

They teach how to put on equipment, how to be a good teammate, and most importantly… how to love the game.

Start with the book: Twig and Biscuit Learn to Play Hockey (Ages 4–8) — the perfect way to light that first spark in a young player’s journey. Because every hockey story starts with that first goal… and Twig and Biscuit make sure it’s a story worth remembering.
