Train like nobody’s watching
Wraparound Family,
Everyone wants to be number one.
But very few people are willing to do what it actually takes to get there.
I’ll be honest with you. As a hockey player, I was never the most skilled guy on the ice. Even at the peak of my college career as a Division 1 captain and leading scorer, I was not the prettiest player to watch. There were guys on my team at UMass Lowell who had better hands, better pure skill, and more natural ability.
What I did have was work ethic.
I figured out how to get the job done with grit, discipline, and an obsession with doing the extra. I learned that skill alone means nothing when the game gets hard. It does not matter how fancy you are if you are not willing to block a slap shot with two minutes left in the third period. It does not matter how clean your stickhandling looks in warmups if you will not take a hit to make a play when it matters.
I used to watch players like Ovechkin and Crosby and just shake my head. I could not even comprehend how someone could get that skilled at a game this fast and demanding.
But here is what I did understand.
I could be tougher.
I could be stronger.
I could outwork people.
Those things were in my control.
I could lift more.
I could train more.
I could take more reps.
I could push when others coasted.
And hockey has a funny way of rewarding those people.
The underdogs.
The grinders.
The players who refuse to quit.
That was me. And if I had to guess, that is a lot of you reading this right now.
If you are one of the truly gifted players, go get it. Chase greatness. Fulfill your potential.
But if you are one of the grinders, welcome to the club. We know something the flashy players sometimes learn too late. Progress is built one rep at a time. Growth happens in the quiet work. Confidence is earned when nobody is watching.
That same mindset is exactly how Wraparound was built.
This is not some massive corporate hockey company. Wraparound started as a family business. One man with a vision. Lee Elias saw a problem in hockey development and decided to solve it. Not every family can afford private lessons and daily ice time. But every player deserves a chance to train properly.
So Lee built tools that made real development possible off the ice.
A Wraparound that protects your stick so you can take thousands of reps on concrete without destroying your blade.
A Puckaround that feels like a real puck so off ice training actually translates to the ice.
That was the mission. Help players do the extra work.
And then something happened.
The hockey world noticed.
Players started calling Wraparound the number one off ice training tool. The Puckaround started selling out. Review after review said the same thing. This feels just like a real puck. Best off ice puck ever made.
We delivered.
And at the end of 2025, when Hockey Tutorial named the Puckaround Off Ice Training Product of the Year, we looked at each other and realized something important.
Hard work works.
That is true for our company.
And it is true for your hockey career.
So here is the deal.
If you are serious about getting better, stop waiting.
If you want confidence, earn it.
If you want results, put in the reps.
Grab a Wraparound.
Pick up a few Puckarounds.
Set yourself up to train properly when nobody is watching.
I did not have tools like this coming up. All I had was discipline and extra reps. Combine that work ethic with the best training tools in the world and see what happens.
We are behind you all the way.
Now it is your move.
Get the tools.
Do the work.
Chase it hard.
